Usually, I takes longer. This is a crazy practice now that I think about it, as it just leads to more churn in my schedule. I want to write about this some more, because the overall effect of what I am doing is to ruin some of my peace of mind. Thanks for the great comment! My mentor shared a tip with me once. Always schedule "chaos time". So if you think a task will take 2 hours, schedule 2.30 hours for it. I usually set Saturdays as my chaos days. When I empty my email inbox and go through a bunch of bookmarks I've set in the "Read Later" folder. And make my to-do list for the next week. Even though I'm not disciplined, this chaos system works for me. Thanks Francis.
